Statement of Faith
We Believe:
-
The Bible, being the inspired Word of God by the Holy Spirit, has the highest and most accurate authority and guiding principles in matters of faith, practice, and all aspects of life.
-
The Trinity, as revealed in the Bible and affirmed by the Church throughout history, consists of the three-in-one God, who is all-powerful, all-good, and unique. God alone, according to His own plan, creates, governs, saves, judges, and accomplishes all things according to His will.
-
Humanity is sinful and in a state of complete corruption. Only through God's gracious power and authority can one be freed from the power of Satan, sin, death, and curses, and receive eternal life in God's kingdom.
-
Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God. He became incarnate, lived a life of perfect obedience, died, resurrected, ascended, and will come again, fulfilling salvation for believers.
-
The Holy Spirit is the Comforter and the Spirit of Truth, convicting people of sin, leading them to repentance, empowering them to have faith in and knowledge of God, inspiring reverence, love, service, joy, and guiding the church in sanctification, growth, hope, freedom, and preservation, teaching and fulfilling God's will for the church.
-
All believers are priests, and clergy and laypeople serve together with one heart, building the Church that belongs to God.
